B.Sc NURSING

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

This is a 4 year degree course, including 6 months of internship. This is the basic graduation course that is needed to work in Institutions both in India and abroad. Following B.Sc. a student can also go for Masters (M.Sc.) study and go in for specialisation in various fields like ICU, OBG, paediatrics, etc. They can go abroad for further studies or for jobs.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination.

  • 50% marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

  • 40% marks for reserved category in PCB

  • Age – 17 years as on August 31st of the year of admission

  • Admission based on the merit of the previous qualifying examination.

  • Admission of NRI’s and foreign nationals is based on the qualifying marks in their core subjects

  • Applications are available from April onwards.– Selection in the months of June to August.

  • Admission in the month of September

DOCUMENTS TO BE ENCLOSED

  • 10th std. marks card ( for proof of date of birth)

  • 10 + 2 marks card/PUC marks card

  • Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended

  • Conduct Certificates from the Institution last attended

  • Medical Fitness certificate

  • Identification Proof (Voter ID/PAN Card/ Passport/Aadhar Card)

  • A Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/-  towards the application fee in favor of Mangalore College of Nursing, payable at Mangalore, Or cash.

  • Original documents with photocopies in two sets to be produced at the time of admission

  • Migration Certificates

  •  Selected non-Karnataka candidates should obtain Eligibility Certificates from the RGUHS

  •  Photographs – 8 (6 passport size and 2 stamp size)
